On Set, On A Hot Summer Day

It is definitely summer. Yesterday, I ended my day on set. We filmed outside the entire time. If it weren't for the cold water, Gatorade, Topo Chico (mineral water) and Mexican cokes, I would have fainted. But, I can't complain, it was a great experience, and I do believe God blessed us with some cool breeze, here and there and having a haircut, that morning, was a great idea. (Loving the lob). Other than that, it was so much fun.

I will admit, I am exhausted. The shoot started late in the afternoon and we finished about 9:30pm, but I made a stop, before going home, at some friends home, who had dinner for me. Super blessed by that! I was tired, thirsty and hungry. They were another answered prayer. The conversations were very interesting, that we lost track of time. Next thing we knew, it was almost midnight. I woke up today dead tired, that I didn't realize I had my shirt, not only backwards but inside out, until I arrived to the gym. (It's good to start the day with a good workout, especially when you are exhausted, because it will get you through the day. I know, ironic, but true. It's a energy boost).

I'll be keeping this short, I only wanted to share my day in pictures and point out how these young girls were impressive. Working with kids can be difficult but these kids were good in listening for direction and getting that tough chick look.

Everyday, is another day to learn something new. Whether it is at my full-time job, at the restaurant, or a day on set, even at home or any other place I go, I try to learn something new. But I also like to inspire and to be inspired. Last night, I was inspired. I saw the hard work that the children were doing and the maturity they expressed. They were there to work. They didn't forget they were children, they just decided that in that moment they would concentrate, listen, and do.

I think many of us, adults, can learn something from them. Sometimes we can't concentrate because we are so focused on other things, like our bank account, how the company is doing, what the internet is saying, what team is winning and so on, that we are not there in the moment. And since our minds are drifting, we don't listen. Which all that is the reason why we never act. We never do what is expected from us, because we do not listen.

I know, I said I was going to keep this short, so I will leave you with that. Today, lets make the effort to live in the moment (putting your phone down can be the first step), to listen to everyone (looking into their eyes might help you with the listening part), and make things happen (Just Do It! That simple).
