Paper Boat

I am going to try not to get all philosophical here...wait, who am I kidding...

There is a song stuck in my head, "Barco de Papel" (Paper Boat) by Annette Moreno. Great music, it has a catchy chorus, and Annette has a unique voice, but overall the lyrics is what grabs my attention when it comes to music...

Okay, lets get deep...We are in a boat called life. We are in this ocean called world. The waves, known as complications, difficulties, events of life, are hitting us hard. At some point we think our boat will drown. But the scariest thing is not the ocean or the big waves but to realize, think or believe, that our boat is made out of paper.

Our life is very fragile. It can be broken. Shattered. It can dissolve with water. I know, at least that is what we always hear...

After listening to the song for the thousand time, the last line caught my attention.

"...Asi fue, te importo lo exterior, olvidastes lo interior..." (So it was, you cared about the exterior and you forgot about the interior)

My conclusion? Is that sometimes we care about the life we have and forget that we have courage and strength inside of us. No matter how high the waves might be, our little boat can survive them. WE can survive them.
